What website builder to use?

To ensure that I achieve conventional and professional looking website, that first and foremost promotes my artists and is an interactive hub for their audience, I believe I will use Wix.com owing to the site being easy to navigate. Wix.com as an Artificial Design Intelligence (ADI), this assists users in the process of creating their website to ensure that they achieve a suitable outcome for the genre of site that users are creating for. 

·      Am I going to include exclusive content for my website?

My website must offer exclusive content, which will provide users with an incentive to view my site. As I am aiming for my website to be the interactive hub for my chosen artists, it must contain either an exclusive interview with my artist, or a behind the scene tour of my music video. Both piece of Audio-Visual media will strengthen the relationship between my artist and his fan base.

·      What Colour scheme to follow?

Music artists websites are conventionally either monochrome or fluorescent. These two contrasting colour scheme helps to anchors the atmosphere of the artists music. For example, a Soul artists may opt for the monochrome colour scheme, which signifies their deep and emotive music. This is contrasting to a House DJ whose website would be conventionally fluorescent to connote joy, glamour and excitement. These values will be reinforced by their music which can, too be accessed via the website.

·      The inclusion of my music video?

Artists’ conventionally place their latest music video proxemically central on their homepage. This is to advertise their latest music in the hope to expand its circulation. I must place my music video in the centre of my homepage, as it will allow users of my site to access my artists latest video, providing them with gratification as they are able to view exclusive content.

·      What conventions to follow of a music artists website?

In order to successfully create a conventional website for my chosen artist I must include certain attributes that will help to anchor the genre of the site. First and foremost, I ensure that my artists social media presence is made clear, through the inclusion of social media icons. Tour dates need to be included, I intended to include this as one of the tabs on the menu bar. Photos of both my artist and their latest music video are paramount for a website. They need to be the the focal point of the website and the users first point of attention. General information of my chosen artist needs to be included to ensure that my audience are informed about their desired artists, owing to their interest in the site. I also intend to include contact details of my chosen artist owing to this being a convention of music video, so that my audience may contact and find out more about my chosen artist and upcoming events.
